Members of the Royal Society of Chemistry (MRSC) have proven a degree level knowledge in the chemical sciences, and will have 3 or more years of professional experience in a position of appropriate responsibility in the practice, application or teaching of chemical science.
The award of Chartered Environmentalist (CEnv) status is a peer-reviewed process and recognises the specialist knowledge of members whose work contributes to mitigating and solving environmental challenges.
Award holders come from a wide range of disciplines and sectors and utilise their environmental expertise to solve environmental and sustainability issues, make strategic decisions and work as highly skilled practitioners. They are all making a difference, leading the way to a more sustainable world.
CEnv awardees have shown they have developed skills in 4 competency areas:
• Application of knowledge and understanding of the environment to further the aims of sustainability
• Leading sustainable management of the environment
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Personal commitment to professional standards, recognising obligations to society, the profession and the environment
